The Friends of the Cowell Lime Works will be conducting a walking tour of the district for members and other interested persons on Saturday, May 21, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Meet at the Barn Theater parking lot.
Friends President Frank Perry will present an overview of the district history, explain the process of making lime, and share some newly- discovered images and information. The walk is about one mile and some of it is up and down hills, although these are gentle. No sign-up necessary. The event is free, but donations are welcome.
Free parking is available at the Cookhouse, Granary, and Barn Theater lots. Be sure to read signs carefully.
